Code of Conduct for Faculty

The faculty members of the College are entrusted with the responsibility of imparting knowledge, guiding students, and upholding the values of academic integrity. To maintain a professional, ethical, and inclusive learning environment, the following code of conduct shall be observed by all faculty members:

Professional Integrity

Faculty must demonstrate honesty, fairness, and transparency in teaching, research, evaluation, and all professional activities.

Academic responsibilities should be discharged with dedication, impartiality, and accountability.

Plagiarism or misuse of academic work for personal gain is strictly prohibited.


Teaching & Mentoring

Faculty should prepare and deliver lectures with commitment, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.

Equal attention and respect must be given to all students, without any bias or discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, or socio-economic background.

Faculty should mentor students in both academic and personal growth, encouraging innovation, creativity, and ethical practices.


Collegial Responsibilities

Faculty must maintain respectful and cooperative relations with colleagues, staff, and administration.

Participation in departmental and institutional activities is expected in the spirit of teamwork.

Differences of opinion should be expressed in a dignified and professional manner.


Use of Institutional Resources

Institutional facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, library, and ICT resources should be utilized responsibly and strictly for academic purposes.

Any misuse or damage to college property is unacceptable and may attract disciplinary measures.


Ethical Behavior

Faculty must avoid exploitation, harassment, or favoritism in any form.

Professional boundaries with students must always be maintained.

Acceptance of gifts, favors, or inducements from students or stakeholders in exchange for academic or administrative advantage is strictly prohibited.


Research & Development

Faculty should promote a culture of research and inquiry, ensuring accuracy and credibility of data and results.

Publications and projects must uphold academic ethics and contribute positively to the reputation of the College.


Commitment to Institution

Faculty should uphold the vision and mission of the College and contribute actively to its growth and development.

Loyalty to institutional policies, timely completion of assigned duties, and adherence to rules are expected at all times.
